First you have to ask yourself what’s your style. For those who love less makeup on normal daily basis, go with that so as to keep looking yourself. Although you should consider having your makeup a little bit darker than your normal makeup.

Your dress may at some point determine the kind of makeup you will wear. For instance if you have a vintage wedding dress, you might opt for a romantic makeup look, or for a modern style you might consider blending dramatic and classic makeup look. Remember this is your day so you can make any style combination of your choice as long as it looks good on you.

It's all about flowers

The most integral accessory to your wedding day is your flowers. It is the last thing you choose for your wedding collection after making choice of wedding gown, color, theme etc. With so many bouquet designs available, you need to make sure your flowers will compliment your choices most especially the gown. Whether your gown is full skirted with a hoop or a slender body fitting design, it is important to choose a wedding bouquet that is styled and designed to accessorize it.

Your height, weight and body type determines your bridal gown, so too does it impact heavily on your wedding bouquet style. Certain style bouquets will suit some gowns over others.

Trailing designs, cascading drop bouquets and classic teardrop designs are very much back in vogue. Vintage posies and hand held arm sheaths are classic choices, forever popular and very now.

Fruit magic

I was reading this Indian wedding magazine the other day and I saw a photo of nice fruits arrangements as the center piece. In mind I said why not apply this creativity in our local world? Considering flowers and fruits might have the same prices when it comes to buying, so if you are worried about the expenses do the research.

We are so blessed with fruits of all kinds, sizes and colors. All you have to do is get someone who is creative and is willing to think out of the box to create something as beautiful to your satisfaction.
Here are some of the ideas I got around but you might want something different… If you try this and it works please share with me.

NOTE: Consider the weather, season and location as well as the oxidation process of the fruits (Maybe preservatives might work…)

The great Nigerian Wedding

In my entire wedding experience I found this huge wedding affair on Belle Naija and I could not get enough. I call it a magnificent wedding affair because it comprises of several parties to its completion.

What’s Old is New: The All-White Wedding

Over the last few years, brides have waded knee-deep into C-O-L-O-R. And not just your mother's pastels, either — we're talking modern, kicky, in-your-face combos practically bordering on neon (orange or teal, hot pink or chartreuse, anyone?)

Indoor evening events call for their own special treatments, benefiting from a monochromatic rainbow of ivory, cream, latte and the palest hints of blue, pink or peach.

But blinding white reigns supreme on a bright summer day. Picture this: an outdoor setting that beckons with airy tents and grassy carpets. Bright white brings an elegant center to even to the most free flowing of outdoor events ... even a clambake!

What a wedding...

This is one of the Valentine's wedding 2011. It was my friend's wedding and I loved everything from the couple's outfits, the wedding colour, the wedding cake to the venue.
